How we started

Due to Covid-19 lockdowns that caused Melbourne, Australia to be locked down for close to 9 months, these months provided extra thinking time to create something that was lacking within Melbourne fashion and within communities of Australia.

What started with admiring Armenian heritage and jewellery, began an obsession to create my own brand that brought such beautiful pieces to Australia. While there is a large community of Armenians in Sydney and Melbourne, bringing Armenian culture and jewellery to everyone. As Armenia struggled with war in 2020, and most recently again in 2022, the mission for my own culture and people became recognition and acknowledgement of what an Armenian is.

For months, designs were being sketched, perfected and created. As shipping was affected worldwide, the wait grew longer and longer. As the weeks turned to months, samples finally reached Melbourne, Australia, which underwent quality control, durability testing and overall testing of the products and its designs. As the back and forth continued to create perfect products in such an unknown climate continued, a brand name was the next step.

While there are many beautiful Armenian names, a connection was lacking in everything I chose.  I held the name Narin close to my heart for multiple years as it was the name I wanted to name my future daughter. A name that I have adored so long due to its beauty, became an instant moment of clarity that my jewellery brand would be named after her. With hopes that I have a daughter named Narin, I wish to pass this on to her when she is old enough.

With many challenges faced for 1.5 years in launching Narin Jewellery, the time came where everything was perfect and ready to be shared with Australia, and eventually the world. And there Narin Jewellery launched in June of 2022.

‘I have high hope, drive and belief that Narin Jewellery will be adored by thousands of customers and jewellery lovers across the world, and the beauty of Armenian heritage, jewellery and culture will be widely recognised and appreciated’ Isabelle (founder of Narin Jewellery)

Sponsoring its first Armenian event in Melbourne, November of 2022, with plans to sponsor more event both Armenian and non-Armenian in future, Narin Jewellery aims to be loved by thousands across the globe and spread the beauty of Armenian history and culture through jewellery and more!
